Here’s a Rose Planting Recipe to Try:

Combine the following in a wheelbarrow:

- All of the soil from the hole where the rose will be planted
- 2 Shovels of Mushroom Compost
- 2 Shovels of Peat Moss
- 1 Cup of Dolomite Lime
- 1 Cup Superphosphate (0-45-0)
- 3 Cups Alfalfa Meal

Mix all ingredients well. Place your new rose bush in the hole and backfill with the mix. Continue to spread the mixture around the bush, taking care to spread out the roots and keep the graft above the soil line. Tamp down the soil and water generously.
